Never a Problem for the Child of God

Thank you, thank you so much for prayers and encouragement during these last six months in particular. Renate has spent most of that time with her parents in Florida. Renate’s parents are generous and kind and have made me part of the family since Renate and I were married. They have supported our ministry financially for many years. They are content, uncomplicated folks who don’t need to be entertained and never want to cause inconvenience for anyone. Renate’s father has been a hard worker all his life who built a scale company from scratch and was a good and faithful provider to his family. Renate’s mother invested time into the company, worked out of the home when needed, reared her two children and has stood by her husband for over 50 years. She has always been one who puts others ahead of herself. Now that my parents are with the Lord, I look up to them as my parents. They love the Lord and I love them because they gave me their daughter.

As we move into 2016, Renate and I continue to wait on the Lord as to what He would have us do. Her parents still are as kind and generous as they have ever been. Her mother often expresses her concern that they are “disrupting our lives, they don’t want to be a burden; a problem”. Their unselfishness even now, after having ministered to us for so long, continues to be an example to Renate and me.

Growing up, my father often said: “God’s child never faces problems, he faces challenges.” I heard it so much, I would roll my eyes and lip sync every time he said it to someone else. This too, is not a problem at all. We have a God who is faithful and will guide us through any challenge. Thank you again, for your prayers.
